Regulatory sign
No stopping (clearway)
A blue disc with a red ring and a red cross (two diagonal strokes) means no stopping -- a clearway. Unlike the no-parking sign, you may not even stop to set down passengers.
When you see it
- ◆ Do not stop on this length of road for any reason except an emergency.
- ◆ A plate may show the times the clearway restriction applies.
- ◆ This is stricter than the single-stroke no-parking sign.
