Regulatory sign
Speed limit (50 km/h)
A white circle with a red ring and a number sets the maximum speed in kilometres per hour. 50 km/h is the default limit in built-up areas unless another limit is signed.
When you see it
- ◆ The number is the maximum legal speed in km/h, not a target.
- ◆ A posted limit always overrides the default for that road type.
- ◆ Reduce speed further in poor weather, traffic, or near schools.
