Falling or fallen rocks
This yellow diamond warns of falling or fallen rocks, usually on roads cut through rock or beneath steep slopes. Loose material may be lying on the carriageway.
When you see it
- ◆ Slow down and watch the road surface for debris.
- ◆ Be ready to steer around or stop for rocks on the road.
- ◆ Take extra care after heavy rain or frost, which loosens rock.
- ◆ Do not stop beneath the slope unless you have to.
