Right of way rules in Ireland
Knowing who must give way at junctions is fundamental to safe driving and is tested throughout the theory exam. The key idea is that right of way is given, never taken.

- ◆ At a junction with a yield or stop sign, you must give way to traffic on the major road.
- ◆ When turning right across oncoming traffic, you must give way to that traffic.
